A man was shot while playing basketball Sunday night in the South Deering neighborhood on the Far South Side.

About 7:14 p.m., the 19-year-old was playing basketball in a park in the 9700 block of South Yates when a male on a bicycle shot him in the right leg before riding away, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Trinity Hospital in good condition, police said.
