A 22-year-old man was shot to death Monday afternoon in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

About 1:30 p.m., Enrique D. Morales’ roommates found him lying on their driveway in the 4500 block of South Whipple with a gunshot wound to the chest, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Morales was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:45 p.m., authorities said. Area Central detectives have launched a homicide investigation.
