Motorcyclist killed in Harvey crash

A 30-year-old motorcyclist from the south suburbs was killed in a crash Sunday afternoon in Harvey.

About 3 p.m., Darryl Madlock was riding west on 147th Street when he was hit by a westbound pickup truck that was making a left turn to go north on Vincennes Road, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office and Harvey city spokesman Sean Howard.

Madlock was taken to Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, where he died at 4:59 p.m., authorities said. He lived in the 14200 block of Kenwood Avenue in Dolton.

The driver of the pickup told invetigators he did not see the motorcycle, Howard said. He was cited for failure to yield and driving with an expired registration.
