A 31-year-old motorcyclist died after a crash Thursday evening in southwest suburban Bolingbrook.

Emergency responders were called at 10:53 p.m. about a crash involving a motorcycle and car at Remington Boulevard and Territorial Drive, according to the Bolingbrook Police Department and the Will County coroner’s office.

At the scene, responders found the motorcyclist, David Bentham Jr., had suffered significant head injuries, police said. Bentham was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash.

Bentham, of Oswego, was taken to Bolingbrook Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:14 p.m., authorities said.

Bentham was driving his motorcycle west on Remington approaching Territorial when a car turned left from eastbound Remington onto Territorial and the two vehicles collided, according to police.

The crash remains under investigation, police said. No charges or citations were issued as of Tuesday morning.
