A man was shot multiple times Tuesday afternoon in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The victim got into a fight with someone he knew in the 4400 block of West Van Buren at 1:53 p.m. when the person pulled out a gun and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The 27-year-old was struck in the left thigh and knee and taken in fair condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.
