Man shot in toe in Avalon Park

A man was shot Sunday afternoon in the South Side Avalon Park neighborhood.

The 37-year-old man was in the 7900 block of South Anthony about 1:50 p.m. when he heard several gunshots, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the big toe and took himself to Jackson Park Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
