A man was wounded in a drive-by shooting Thursday in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The 42-year-old victim was on a front porch in the 1100 block of South Independence about noon when a dark vehicle pulled up with four people inside and one of them opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The victim was shot in the knee, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
