Man hurt in Back of the Yards shooting

A man was shot Friday morning in the South Side Back of the Yards neighborhood.

The 28-year-old victim was outside at 9:55 a.m. in the 1100 block of West 51st when a male got out of a black Toyota and fired at him, according to Chicago Police. Police initially reported that the shooting happened in the 1100 block of West 31st Street.

He suffered two gunshot wounds to the left thigh and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said. He was being uncooperative with investigators.
