A 31-year-old man was found stabbed to death Friday night at his home in the West Side Austin neighborhood, police said.

At 9:57 p.m., a roommate found Marvin Pierce laying in his bedroom with multiple stab wounds to his body, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Pierce was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:07 p.m., authorities said. An autopsy Saturday did not rule on the cause and manner of his death pending further investigation.

Area North detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
