Man arrested after robbing Morgan Park bank branch

A man was taken into custody after robbing a bank branch in the South Side Morgan Park neighborhood, authorities said.

The man, who was thought to be between the ages of 25 and 30, walked into a business about 4:30 p.m. in the 11700 block of South Marshfield and demanded property, according to Chicago Police.

An FBI spokeswoman confirmed that a bank robbery happened about the same time at the TCF Bank branch at 11730 S. Marshfield.

The suspect ran off before being arrested, police said.

No one was injured, police said.

The FBI and Area South detectives were investigating the robbery.
