Man shot while cutting hair at Woodlawn apartment

A 25-year-old man was shot Monday evening while cutting hair at an apartment in the South Side Woodlawn neighborhood.

About 7:30 p.m., the man was giving someone a haircut when he was struck by a bullet that tore through a sliding glass door at the apartment in the 6400 block of South Maryland, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered a gunshot wound to his leg was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition, police said.

A vehicle was heard driving away from the scene of the shooting, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating the shooting.
