Man, 43, shot in Gresham

A 43-year-old man was shot Tuesday evening in the South Side Gresham neighborhood.

The man suffered gunshot wounds to his leg and buttocks while he was walking about 7:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of West 79th Street, according to Chicago Police.

No other information about the shooting was provided.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Area South detectives were investigating the shooting.
