A 34-year-old man was wounded in a shooting Monday afternoon in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

Just after 1 p.m., the man heard gunfire and realized he was shot in the leg in the 3300 block of West Huron, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said. The shooting may have been related to a drug sale.

Area North detectives were investigating.
