A man was wounded in a shooting Monday afternoon in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.
The 36-year-old told investigators he was walking south about 12:15 p.m. in the 200 block of South Laramie when he heard gunshots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police. He showed up at Loretto Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest.
He was transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
