Man fatally shot in West Pullman

A man who was shot and critically wounded Tuesday evening in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side has died.

Allavar Taylor, 21, was shot multiple times at 7:14 p.m. in the 12100 block of South Stewart, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. The circumstances of the shooting weren’t immediately known.

He was taken in critical condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where was pronounced dead at 8:07 p.m., officials said.

The medical examiner’s office confirmed the death Wednesday morning.

Area South detectives were investigating the shooting.
