Woman, 38, shot while driving in West Garfield Park

A 38-year-old woman was shot Sunday afternoon in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The woman was driving in her vehicle when she heard shots and felt pain about 2:30 p.m. in the 4700 block of West Fulton, according to Chicago Police.

She was shot in the hip and took herself to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where her condition stabilized, police said.

Area North detectives were investigating.
