Man killed in Humboldt Park shooting

A man who was shot to death Tuesday morning in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side has been identified.

Davion Ervin, 18, of the Gresham neighborhood, was shot in the head, right wrist and upper back shortly after 11 a.m. in the 800 block of North St. Louis, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:14 a.m. and his body was taken to Norwegian American Hospital, officials said. Area North detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
