Man shot in chest in East Garfield Park

A 27-year-old man was shot Saturday morning in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West side.

About 12:50 a.m. the man heard shots and felt pain in the 3900 block of West Monroe Street, according to Chicago Police. He was shot in the chest and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in good condition.

Area North detectives were investigation the shooting.
