A man was wounded in a shooting early Sunday in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The 24-year-old was leaving a home about 4 a.m. in the 5500 block of South Wabash when someone shot him in the back, according to Chicago Police.

He showed up at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating the shooting.

Investigators have gotten different versions of what happened Friday evening when Cecilia Thomas was shot in the head in the 7700 block of South Shore Drive, according to Chicago police Supt. David Brown.
There were 243 passengers and 12 crew members on board the train. Officials said there were early reports of injuries.
