Northwest Side kids last seen at Horner Park found safe

Police have located two children who disappeared for a day from the Northwest Side.

James Stewart, 12, and Katherine Chanalata, 14, had last been seen Tuesday at Horner Park, 2700 W. Montrose, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.

Hours after releasing their photos Wednesday, police announced the boy and girl had been found “safe and sound.”

No other details were released.
