A man who was wounded in a drive-by shooting Saturday afternoon in the Homan Square neighborhood on the West Side has died, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The 25-year-old man was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk about 3:11 p.m. in the 3700 block of Roosevelt when a vehicle pulled into a nearby parking lots and someone inside fired shots, striking him multiple times before driving off before driving off, Chicago Police said.

The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with several gunshot wounds to the body in critical condition. He was pronounced dead at the hospital at 12:19 p.m. Monday, officials said.
