A man was shot Thursday night in the South Side Back of the Yards neighborhood.

The 19-year-old was riding in a vehicle about 9:15 p.m. when shots were fired from another vehicle in the 5000 block of South Hoyne, Chicago Police said.

He showed up to Holy Cross Hospital with a gunshot wound to the back and was transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.
