A 33-year-old man was shot Monday night in the Albany Park neighborhood on the North Side.

The man was walking when he got into an argument with someone who fired a shot, striking him in the leg at 11:02 p.m. in the 4700 block of North Kimball, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to Swedish Covenant Hospital and was transferred to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area North detectives were investigating.
