Man wounded in Heart of Chicago shooting

A man was shot while driving Sunday night in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood on the South Side.

The 23-year-old was driving eastbound when someone in another vehicle fired shots at him at 7:51 p.m. in the 1800 block of West 18th Street, according to Chicago Police.

The shooter was in a vehicle that was traveling north on Wood Street, police said.

The man was shot in the left thigh. He was in being treated at Stroger Hospital, where he was in good condition, police said.
