Man stabs person during fight in Wheaton

A 27-year-old was arrested and charged after allegedly stabbing someone Monday in Wheaton.

Billy J. Thomas faces two counts of aggravated battery, according to a statement from Wheaton police.

Just before 10 p.m., Wheaton officers investigated a stabbing in the 1300 block of East Roosevelt Road, police said. Upon arrival, officers located a person who had been stabbed several times.

Thomas was also on the scene, and officers alleged that he confessed to stabbing the person during an argument, police said.

The other person was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Thomas was taken to the DuPage County Jail to await bond court, police said. No further information was available.
