Police found a box of puppies in the street Tuesday in Englewood on the South Side.

An anonymous caller contacted authorities about the dogs about 3 a.m., according to Chicago police. Officers found five in a black storage box in the 7400 block of South Bell Avenue.

The pups were brought to the Chicago Lawn District police station, police said.

All were adopted — two of them by a Chicago officer.
