Lanes reopened at 3:30 p.m. Friday after a motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on I-80in the west suburbs.

The crash happened about 10:50 a.m. in the eastbound lanes at Oak Park Avenue, according to Illinois State Police.

A vehicle traveling in the middle lane tried to move over to the right and struck the back of a 2004 Honda Shadow motorcycle, causing the driver to lose control and crash into a guardrail, state police said.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 69-year-old man from Lansing, was ejected, state police said.

The two lanes were closed several hours for an investigation.

State police asked witnesses of the crashto call investigators at847-294-4400.
