The body of a man was pulled from Lake Michigan Thursday morning near 49th Street Beach on the South Side.

He was identified as Kim L. Randall, 64, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Autopsy results remained pending.

A person who was walking in the area noticed the body floating in the lake just before 9 a.m. in the 4900 block of South Lake Shore Drive, according to Chicago police.

Crews were called and removed the body from the water, police said.
