Man killed in Brighton Park drive-by shooting

The 26-year-old was getting into his car when someone in a passing black Chrysler 300 shot at him, Chicago police said.

A man was killed in a drive-by shooting Sunday night in Brighton Park on the South Side.

The 26-year-old was getting into his vehicle about 10:15 p.m. in the 2900 block of West 44th Place when someone in a passing black Chrysler 300 began shooting at him, Chicago police said.

He was struck in the head and leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

He was identified as Francisco Carrillo by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

There was no one in custody.
