Woman struck, killed by bus in Palos Hills

A woman died after being hit by a PACE bus Sunday in suburban Palos Hills.

Agata Gorz, 42, was struck at the intersection of 107th Street and 88th Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Officers were called to the scene about 10:20 a.m. for a fatal crash involving a PACE bus and a pedestrian, Palos Hills police said in a statement.

An autopsy found she died of blunt force injuries from the crash and ruled her death an accident, the medical examiner’s office said. She lived in Palos Hills.

Police said the crash remained under investigation.
