A woman is in critical condition after a crash with a semi Tuesday in Austin on the West Side.

The 19-year-old was driving north about 10:30 p.m. in the 700 block of South Laramie Avenue when she didn’t stop at a red light and was struck by a semi that was turning left onto Laramie, Chicago police said.

The woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said. No other injuries were reported.

CPD’s Major Accidents Unit is investigating.
