Man stabbed in hand after fight breaks out on CTA platform in the Loop

Hours earlier, a man was robbed at knife-point on a Red Line train on the Near North Side, Chicago police said.

A man was cut on the hand after getting into a fight on a CTA train platform in the Loop early Thursday.

The attack happened about 12:30 a.m. in the 200 block of South State Street, Chicago police said. The man, 30, suffered a cut to a finger of his left hand during an argument.

The man was treated at the scene, then walked away from officers, refusing to cooperate, police said. No one was in custody.

On Wednesday night, a man was robbed on a CTA Red Line train on the Near North Side.

He was on a train in the 500 block of North State Street when he was robbed at knife-point about 7:40 p.m., police said.

The man was not injured, and no one was in custody, police said.
