NEW YORK — Elton John has announced the final dates for his farewell world tour, which includes stops at big arenas and stadiums in the U.S. such as Chicago’s United Center and Soldier Field.

“Elton John Farewell Yellow Brick Road: The Final Tour” will visit Frankfurt, Germany, on May 27, 2022 and will make several stops throughout Europe, including Milan, Liverpool and Paris.

The tour will make two stops in Chicago next year: Feb. 4-5 at the United Center and Aug. 5 at Soldier Field. Tickets are available for the UC shows at ticketmaster.com, while John’s official website says tickets for the Soldier Field show will go on sale next Wednesday.

John also announced dates in North America, including shows at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia; MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey; Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta; Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee; and Minute Maid Park in Houston. He will wrap the North American trek with two shows at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on November 19 and 20, 2022.

John was forced to reschedule dates from his 2020-21 trek due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2023 he will play in New Zealand and Australia before wrapping up the tour, which began in 2018.
