20-year-old killed in West Pullman crash with semi-truck

A 41-year-old man driving a semi-truck was heading westbound in the 300 block of 127th street when he struck the 20-year-old man traveling eastbound.

A woman was killed and an officer wounded during a shoot-out Apr. 3, 2022, in an Oak Forest grocery store.

A 20-year-old driver was killed in a crash with a semi-truck Saturday afternoon in West Pullman on the Far South Side.

About 12:20 p.m., a 41-year-old man driving a semi-truck was heading westbound in the 300 block of 127th street when he struck the 20-year-old man traveling eastbound and attempting to turn left onto Princeton, Chicago police said.

The 20-year-old was taken to Roseland Hospital where he died, police said.

He was identified as Raheem Simmons by the Cook County medical examiner’s cases.

The Major Accidents unit is investigating the crash.
