A person was killed in a shooting Friday night on the Eisenhower Expressway that also left two others wounded.

Paul Anthony Harris III, 17, was shot around 8:30 p.m. near Damen Avenue, according to Illinois State Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. and closed down a stretch of Interstate 290 for about four hours while troopers investigated, according to Illinois State Police officials.

Chicago police later notified state police investigators that three people wounded in the shooting had been located at a nearby hospital, officials said. Harris was later pronounced dead, but the other two were expected to survive.

A vehicle believed to have been involved in the shooting was seen parked outside Rush University Medical Center Friday night with about a dozen bullet holes in the windshield, a driver-side window shot out and a bullet hole on the passenger side.
