A semi rolled over on the Dan Ryan Expressway Monday morning, shutting down the outbound lanes at Canalport.

The trailer tipped onto its side around 5:15 a.m., blocking three lanes of traffic, Illinois State Police said.

All lanes were shut down, but by 7:40 a.m., all lanes were reopened. state police said.

The trailer — loaded with about 34,000 pounds of silicon — was sealed and did not spill, according to state police.
