A man was shot and critically wounded following an argument Sunday night on the North Side.

A man was shot and critically wounded while arguing with a woman on the North Side Sunday night.

The 32-year-old was shot in the back about 10:20 p.m. in the 400 block of North Clark Street, Chicago police said.

He was taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition, police said.

A woman was placed into custody after being identified by people at the scene, police said.
