The Bears’ injury list has become a long one with concerns beyond quarterback Jay Cutler and his strained hamstring.
Receivers Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) and Eddie Royal (back, hip) joined Cutler as non-participants for Wednesday’s practice at Halas Hall.
Linebacker Jon Bostic (ankle) remains out, while there were plenty of players limited: running back Matt Forte (knee), outside linebacker Pernell McPhee (knee), defensive end Ego Ferguson (knee), receiver Marquess Wilson (shoulder) and guard Matt Slauson (thigh, toe).
Every coach in the league would prefer to be 100 percent healthy,” coach John Fox said. “It’s not reality.”
The only positive development was that cornerback Tracy Porter took the field in limited fashion after being out the first two weeks with a nagging hamstring injury.
“It just feels to be out there and not be in the training room,” Porter said. “Everything is going in the right direction. We still haven’t made a decision on what’s going to happen [Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks].”
