DECATUR — Safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, whom the Bears signed to pair with All-Pro Eddie Jackson in March, is expected to open training camp on the physically unable-to-perform list Thursday.

Clinton-Dix sprained his knee toward the end of mandatory minicamp, general manager Ryan Pace said Sunday.

The Bears don’t expect the injury to be a long-term problem. They also expect offensive tackle T.J. Clemmings, who is recovering from knee surgery, and defensive lineman Jonathan Harris, who has a hamstring injury, to begin camp on the PUP list.

Clinton-Dix signed a one-year, $3 million deal to join the Bears and play alongside Jackson, his former Alabama teammate. He played for the Packers and Redskins last year.
