Woman shot in South Shore

The 22-year-old was walking into a business in the 7500 block of South Exchange Avenue when someone shot at her from a southbound white sedan, police said.

A woman was wounded in a shooting Wednesday in South Shore on the South Side.

The 22-year-old was walking into a business at 12:53 a.m. in the 7500 block of South Exchange Avenue when someone shot at her from a southbound white sedan, according to Chicago police.

She was hit in the arm and taken in good condition to the University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
