Two robberies were reported within a week of each other on the same block in Chatham on the South Side.

In both incidents, someone approached the victim from behind in the 8300 block of South Holland Road and either pushed them or grabbed property from their hand, Chicago police said.

The first robbery happened about 3:55 p.m. July 6 and the second was at 7:23 p.m. July 13, police said.

The robber fled northbound on Holland Road both times, police said. He was described by police as a man between 18 and 25 years old with brown eyes and a black afro. In one incident, he may have gotten away in a blue vehicle, police said.
