Man fatally shot in West Garfield Park

A man was shot to death Friday in West Garfield Park on the West Side.

He was shot in the back about 3:55 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Madison Street, Chicago police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as 43-year-old Levarge L. Harvey of Austin on the West Side.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
