Man fatally shot in Buena Park

About 2:10 p.m., Jhonny Guaman was walking in the 900 block of West Belle Plaine Avenue, two people approached him and opened fire.

A man was fatally shot Thursday in Buena Park on the North Side.

About 2:10 p.m., he was walking in the 900 block of West Belle Plaine Avenue when two people approached him and opened fire, Chicago police said.

He was rushed to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the man as 20-year-old Jhonny Guaman.

Area Three detectives are investigating.
