Man fatally shot in Bridgeport

A 22-year-old man was fatally shot early Sunday in Bridgeport on the South Side, police said.

About 12:50 a.m., Michael Frigo was discovered in a gangway in the 2800 block of South Wallace Street with two gunshot wounds to the abdomen, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Frigo was transported to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. He lived in Chicago Lawn.

There were no witnesses and no one is in custody as Area One detectives investigate.
