Man killed in Austin shooting

The 25-year-old was found unresponsive on a bedroom floor in the first block of North Lockwood Avenue with a gunshot wound to the head, officials said. An autopsy ruled his death a homicide.

A man was found fatally shot in a bedroom Sunday in Austin on the West Side.

A relative found the 25-year-old unresponsive about 3:42 a.m. on the bedroom floor in the first block of North Lockwood Avenue with a gunshot wound to the head, Chicago police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was identified as Christopher Riley, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy ruled his death a homicide.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
