Teen found shot in Brighton Park

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert about 10 a.m. in the 4400 block of South Campbell Avenue, and found the teen with a gunshot wound to his right leg.

A 17-year-old boy was found shot Sunday in Brighton Park on the Southwest Side.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert about 10 a.m. in the 4400 block of South Campbell Avenue, and found the teen with a gunshot wound to his right leg, Chicago police said.

He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital and is in fair condition, police said.

The circumstances of the shooting are unknown because the teen was uncooperative with police, police said.

Area One detectives are investigating.
