Police are warning residents about a pair of vehicle thefts last week in Hyde Park on the South Side.

The victims parked their vehicles with the keys inside and came back later to find them missing, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

Both thefts occurred in the 1500 block of East 53rd Street, police said. The first was reported between 4:10 and 4:25 p.m. March 10, while the other happened about 9:45 p.m. March 14.
