Teen shot in Waukegan

A 15-year-old boy was taken taken to a hospital in serious condition, police said.

A 15-year-old boy was shot Wednesday in north suburban Waukegan.

Officers responded about 11:45 a.m. to the area of Clarke Avenue and Beasley Place for reports of a shooting and found the teen lying in the street, Waukegan police said.

He was taken to a hospital in serious condition but has been stabilized, police said.

No arrests have been reported. Waukegan police are investigating.
