A 17-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Friday in Austin on the West Side.

About 6:23 p.m., the teen was on West Corcoran Place when someone got out of a blue vehicle and fired shots, Chicago police said.

The teen was struck in the foot and taken to Rush University Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area Five detectives are investigating.
