A 32-year-old man died Friday after being shot in Joliet.

Officers found Derrick Williams-Scott with multiple gunshot wounds just after midnight on the front steps of a home in the 1100 block of Richards Street, according to the Will County coroner’s office and Joliet police.

Scott was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet and pronounced dead at 12:47 a.m., authorities said. An autopsy is scheduled for later Friday.

Joliet police are investigating.
